Ian Hallett
Ian Hallett is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and licensed Financial Adviser with almost 30 years’ experience in public practice in Canberra, including over 3 years as a Senior Tax Manager with Ernst & Young.
He commenced the practice in Canberra as Halletts in 1996 and is actively involved in tax, business improvement consulting, litigation support and financial advisory services. Ian provides strategic business and tax consulting and system-related advice to clients looking to grow and develop their businesses and hold on to as much of their profits as is legally possible.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Chisholm Institute of Technology Melbourne (now Monash University) and was admitted as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1990. He is also a Registered Tax Agent and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and holds post-Graduate qualifications in professional writing.
Ian is married to Elizabeth and is the proud father of 3 adult children and father figure to Toby the Labradoodle and Ringo and Lulu the Australian mist fur-babies. Ian is a keen (amateur) runner, (very amateur) muso and Hawks supporter who actively volunteers in the Canberra Community including Book Lovers Lane and Bookfair (Lifeline), ACT Libraries (English conversation classes) and at the National Capital Exhibition at Regatta Point.
